1980's Lidokov Floor Lamp

€420.00

This is an original floor lamp designed and produced in the 1980’s by Lidokov Lighting Factory in former Czechoslovakia. This piece takes an inspiration from the pre war Modernist and also Mid Century Scandinavian lightning design.

The lamp consists of round base made of a porcelain in black. In the middle, there is a long steel rod that supports the lampshade. The lampshade itself is a simple black steel “mushroom” shape with a round hole in the middle. This solution means that the light shines down but is also thrown upwards through the middle part giving a lovely distribution to a room. This minimal but perfectly functional design allows the right light intensity to radiate out and is the perfect lamp to use for reading, or as an additional light for an ambient atmosphere.

The on/off switch is located on the middle part of the base and is design to be control by a foot rather than by hand.

The lamp is in great original vintage condition showing only some minimal wear.  All the parts are original, including the switch, the bulb fitting, cord with the European plug and are fully functional.
