1930's Art Deco Dressing Table

€0.00

An original Art Deco Dressing table from the 1930s. This piece has beautifully curved shaped shelves, drawers and legs, which together with the dazzling pattern of the root wood veneer and three side mirror parts (two of them adjustable) makes this piece sure to delight design enthusiasts.

The dressing table cabinet is divided into three sections: the top section is formed of two open drawers each supported by a single sculptural wooden tube. The middle section has open storage that is protected by a sliding glass door. The two sides have wooden curved drawers with dark beech wood inside and open storage on the bottom.

The designer and producer of the cabinet is unfortunately unknown to us. However the quality of the materials, perfect attention to every detail and overall hight craft of the whole piece indicates that it is likely to be product of the world renowned UP Brno Factory where the iconic architect Jindrich Halabala worked as an Art Director.

The dressing table has been recently refurbished to its former glory and its in a great vintage condition. Our experienced craftsman carried out the restoration to the highest standard, reviving the beautiful natural pattern of the wood which was finished by hand in Shellac varnish to achieve the original gloss. There is some minor wear and tear gained by using over the years on the glass and inside both drawers.
