1930's Modernist Bookcase

€0.00

A Modernist Bookcase that is believed to have been produced in the 1930’s by UP Brno, in former Czechoslovakia.

This piece has got a stunning rich walnut textured veneer and perfectly balanced proportions. The bookcase is divided into two mirrored sections each with a single shelf and both protected by glass sliding doors.

What makes this piece unusual compared to a “standard” bookcase is the fact that it is only 23.5cm deep; a slender piece which makes it blend into any interior.

The bookcase is in great vintage condition. Recent restoration has fully revived the extremely rich colour of the entire piece, showing off the beautiful patterns on all surfaces. The bookcase has been hand finished by Shellac and Nitro varnishes in order to achieve a great gloss finish.
