The material and the unusual triangular-round shape of this side table were typical for the design direction of the late 50s and early 60s Czechoslovakia. The so-called Brussels style created a collection of many memorable pieces. This iconic three-legged side table with a Formica worktop is a great example of this era.

The table frame and legs has been refurbished and finished to the highest standard using original techniques and materials, retaining the vintage character. This piece shows excellent condition with minimal marking. The brilliant red Formica top replaced an original grey tabletop that was damaged beyond repair. Bright colours were popular at the time, not to mention it is well matched to the timber hues.
