H 269 Armchair by Jindrich Halabala

€0.00

Probably the most famous 20th century Czech piece of furniture, this H 269 armchair was originally designed in 1933 by Jindrich Halabala for the legendary brand UP Brno and is now a true icon.

The main design feature is the two continuous bentwood armrests and legs, shaped in a form reminiscent of the Greek letter Alpha. At the time this was a very advanced and adventurous way to make an armchair. The design was progressive and technically ahead of the work of other famous furniture designers of the time such as Alvaro Alto or Bruno Mathsson.

Due to its shape, this armchair is very comfortable and enjoyable to sit on.  It's design perfectly fits into both a modern or more traditional interior.

This piece has been recently completely refurbished by our experienced craftman and reupholstered in Emin Nightingale fabric by Kirkby Design.

This version of H 269 armchair was produced in 1950's.
