Pair of Modernist Tubular Armchairs

€0.00

We have two rare versions of the B34 chairs, originally designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928 for Thonet. These two chairs were produced by Kovozavody Petr Jopek in Zlin, Czechoslovakia. The chairs are unique example of avant-garde tubular furniture. This model is a modified version of Breuer's design, with an unusual use of wood on the seat and backrest and was used by legendary Bata Company in their stores.

The armchairs are in great vintage condition with a patina on the chromed steel acquired over the years. The veneered moulded plywood seat and backrest have been refurbished to the highest standard using original techniques and materials, hand finished with Shellac varnish.
