This set consists of a Mid Century sofa bed and tabouret and is believed to be produced in the 1960’s in Czechoslovakia. The design of the the sofa is very similar to a piece by Vladimir Navratil for Interier Praha. However we are not able to confirm whether this model is also by Navratil or if it is simply inspired by his work.

Both the sofa bed and the tabouret are in original 1960’s red and cream chequered fabric. The back rest can be pulled down and the sofa used as a single bed. Due to it’s simple form and “retro” fabric, this sofa is a stylish forerunner to many contemporary pieces.

The sofa and the tabouret are in very good original condition showing only minimal natural wear and tear. There is no damage on the fabric, only some minimal water marks. Oak frame has been cleaned and polished to gain the original look.
