Pair of 1950s Table Lamps by Drupol, Model 21620

Pair of 1950s Table Lamps by Drupol, Model 21620
This rare pair of mid-century table lamps was made by Drupol, one of the key Czech producers responsible for some of the country’s most recognizable design icons. Model 21620 beautifully embodies the refined functionality and playful elegance of 1960s Czechoslovak design.
Each lamp features a textured glass shade with a distinctive hammered pattern that diffuses light softly and creates a warm, inviting glow. The shade sits on a sleek chromed steel frame and a yellow lacquered base, a combination that feels both industrial and cheerful - classic to the postwar optimism of the era.
The angled glass shade is gracefully supported by a slender chrome rod that connects to an oval steel base, giving the lamp a beautifully balanced, architectural look. The on/off switch is positioned on the cable - a discreet and practical detail that preserves the lamp’s clean lines. The composition reflects Drupol’s signature mix of precision engineering and modernist simplicity. Both lamps are in good vintage condition, with minor traces of age and wear on the chrome and yellow lacquer that add authentic character. They have been carefully cleaned and rewired with new branded switches and EU plugs.
Each lamp fits a standard E27 bulb and is designed for 220V systems but can be used with 110V when paired with the correct adapter and bulb.
A charming and well-proportioned design, this pair will add a touch of understated mid-century elegance to any interior — from a minimalist modern space to a richly layered vintage collection.
