1960s Industrial table lamp

€150.00

This original 1960s workshop/office desk lamp embodies the ingenuity of mid-century industrial design. Commonly referred to as a “gooseneck” lamp, its flexible steel neck allows for precise positioning, offering both practicality and sculptural elegance.

Designed to be mounted directly onto a desk of varying thickness, the lamp provides excellent versatility. The steel-grey lacquered shade can be adjusted in height and angled with ease, directing light exactly where it is needed. The on/off switch is discreetly placed along the cable, preserving the clean, uninterrupted lines of the form.

Influenced by the Mid-Century Modern movement, the design is pared back to its essentials, minimal, purposeful, and highly functional. It delivers focused illumination, making it ideal for working, reading, or as an atmospheric secondary light source.

The lamp remains in good original vintage condition, with minor wear to the polished steel and a few small dents to the shade consistent with age and use. Areas of gentle patina have developed over time, enhancing its character and authenticity. The adjustable neck is slightly loose in certain positions, a common trait for pieces of this type. It has been fitted with a new white cable in keeping with the original aesthetic, and the lamp is fully functional.
