1930's Modernist Red Stool

1930's Modernist Red Stool
This striking stool is a rare survivor from the 1930s Modernist movement - an era when designers sought beauty in clarity, structure, and bold simplicity.
Its circular seat is balanced on four straight legs, connected with an elegant cross-brace that gives the piece both strength and architectural presence. The form is minimal, yet every line feels intentional - nothing extra, nothing unnecessary.
We have carefully restored the stool to its original glory, repainting it in the vivid red finish that once defined its character. The colour is as daring now as it was nearly a century ago: bold enough to command attention, yet refined enough to complement a considered interior.
This stool is more than just a seat- it’s a fragment of design history, a reminder of the optimism and experimentation that shaped early modern living. Place it in a hallway, use it as a bedside table, or let it stand on its own as a sculptural accent; wherever it goes, it will add depth and personality to the room.
Perfect in condition and ready to use. There is some small wear o wooden parts gained from the use over the years.
