An authentic bentwood kids chair made at the beginning of the 20th century. Originally this chair was connected to a small desk as one piece. Thonet was producing this type of kid’s furniture from late the 19th Century. There were various designs but they mainly differed in the style of back rest. We can find this particular piece published for the first time in the Thonet Catalogue from 1885.

This chair nicely shows the Thonet renowned technique of wood bending. There is no decoration on any part of the wood, however the organic form of the backrest and the armrest make this chair a wonderful Art Nouveau piece.

This piece is in great vintage condition with only minor wear and patina gained over the years.

The chair have been recently completely refurbished. Our experienced craftsman has carried the restoration to the highest standard, using original techniques and respecting the character of the chair whilst reviving the natural pattern of the wood.
