1960's Tourist Information Poster
1960's Tourist Information Poster
This is an original poster designed and printed by Grafia Brno in the 1960’s in former Czechoslovakia.
The poster was used to inform tourists about how to behave in the natural park of Moravian Karst, which is a rocky landscape and protected landscape north of Brno in the Czech Republic. It covers a number of significant geological features, including about 1100 caverns.
This poster is in Czech, Russian and German, and says that it is forbidden to take or break any stalactites or boulders.
We particularly love the composition of the text together with the images - and also the bold colour scheme. The graphic style of the poster means it works well both as information but it’s also aesthetically pleasing.
The poster is in perfect vintage condition with no signs of damage or wear. It has never been folded and there are no tears or pinholes at the borders.
