1930s Czech Bentwood Dining Chair by Bernkop

€240.00

Made by Bernkop in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, Czechoslovakia, this 1930s dining chair brings an unusual richness of detail to a familiar bentwood form.

Its round seat sits above a slender circular support, while gently curved legs give the chair its light silhouette. Four additional supports rise between the seat and backrest, creating a distinctive pattern that sets this example apart from the closely related Bernkop Model K6. The warm wood finish draws attention to every curve.

Compact and full of character, it would sit beautifully at a dining table or make an individual accent chair beside a desk.

Why we like it

There is something especially satisfying about the construction. The ring beneath the seat and the four back supports make the chair interesting from every angle, while its simple outline keeps it easy to live with.

Condition & restoration

The chair has been carefully restored and is ready for use. It remains in excellent vintage condition, with minimal signs of age. Please refer to the photographs for a detailed view of its condition.
