An original 1960's Decorative Wall Rug believed to be produced in either former Czechoslovakia or East Germany. At that time, wall rugs were a very fashionable addition to interiors and were produced in various styles and sizes. This particular piece is however quite rare and hard to find these days.

The wall rug is made of two wooden rods in light brown beech colour that hold the wool rug horizontally.

The rug design is an colourful, expressive geometric form. The shapes are reminiscent of the letter X with dots on either side of the 'X'. The colour scheme varies from yellow, orange, red to navy blue in a smooth gradual transition. The background of the rug is a cream colour. Overall the design is very striking and expressive and is clearly influenced by the 1960's organic forms of the Space Age design.

The rug is designed to be hung horizontally (by the wooden rods), however can be also hung vertically.

This wall decorative rug is in good vintage condition. There are no holes or tears on the rug, only general minor wear and slight colour fade according to its age.
