1950's Mid Century Table/Wall Lamp by Vaclav Rada for ULUV - DELIVERED TO THE USA
Versatile lighting design by Vaclav Rada for ULUV, suitable as both a wall lamp and table lamp, acquired by an Interior Design studio in the United States.
A wonderfully unusual and rare Mid Century lamp produced by Ustredi Lidove Umelecke Tvorby (ULUV) in Czechoslovakia in the late 1950’s.
ULUV was established at the end of 1945 with the main goal of supporting traditional folk art and craft. Throughout the second part of the 20th century, ULUV produced products by many different artists and designers in various homeware and design categories.
This lamp can be used as a desk lamp or hung on the wall, and is believed to be designed by architect Vacla Rada.
The lamp consists of separate elements assembled together to create this subtle and elegantly bended lamp stand and natural “mushroom” wooden layered lampshade.
This piece is in great vintage condition with only some minor wear on the wooden lampshade. All parts are original (except for the socket plug) and fully functional.
