An elegant and sculptural floor lamp produced in former Czechoslovakia during the 1960s, capturing the experimental spirit of post-war Central European design.

The lamp is defined by two gently curved brass rods that rise organically from a circular ceramic base, intersecting at the centre and creating a graceful sculptural silhouette. Each arm supports a large hand-blown milk glass shade whose soft, rounded form beautifully diffuses light. The contrast between the warm brass, creamy glass and yellow ceramic base gives the piece a playful yet sophisticated character that feels remarkably contemporary more than half a century after its creation.

During the 1960s, Czechoslovak designers embraced modernist principles while retaining a strong sense of craftsmanship and material quality. Lighting from this period often combined sculptural forms, organic lines and innovative use of glass, resulting in objects that functioned as both practical lighting and decorative focal points.
